No Baby Should Go Without

Many young moms do not have the resources to buy the supplies their babies need. Cherish donors provide quality baby essentials to protect and nurture little lives.

Safety Baby Gear: Car seats, bassinets, changing tables, cribs, high chairs, and strollers.

Nutrition: Baby food, formula, groceries, holiday meals, and nursing supplies.

Daily Care: Baby and toddler clothes, books, diapers, educational toys, and shoes.

Providing a Safe Place

The Cherish Resource Center offers a haven of enrichment for young moms and their children. While young moms receive help, their children have a fun, safe place to play.

Individual Support: Moms meet with their Success Coach to identify and achieve their goals, or their Mentor, to pursue emotional wholeness and spiritual growth.

Free Professional Services: Child-birth instruction, interview preparation, nutrition education, tutoring, paralegal support, resume writing, tax-preparation, and college admission support.

Computer Access: Moms can use the computer stations to complete their homework or apply for a job.

The Learning Advantage

Teen mothers are more likely than older mothers to drop out of high school, live in poverty, abuse, or neglect their children, and experience violence from their partners. At Cherish, young moms receive the knowledge and tools to escape the statistics and excel in life.

Cherish Life-Skills: Class topics range from budgeting, continuing education, conflict resolution, family goal-setting, healthy relationship skills, and job-readiness.

Parenting Classes: Child development, positive parenting, setting limits, creating routine, abuse prevention, child nutrition, and kindergarten readiness.

Continuing Education: Cherish Moms have pursued Bachelor, and Master's degree at Cal Baptist, Cal Poly Pomona, Cal State San Bernardino, UC Riverside, and UC Irvine.
